This is the section where I've got my favorite songs and why I like 'em. I unfortunetly don't have enough room to post the songs, but I'll put up links to sites that do have them, and links to lyrics.
Just Wild Beat Communication:
AKA Just Communication, is sung by Two-Mix, who did the other opening songs for GW. It is the opening theme used in the Dubbed and some Subbed GW versions. I like it, it's bouncy, fun and has a cool instrumental version. It contains small amounts of English (just wild beat communication and a few words at the beginning) which is mostly all I understand without reading the subtitles…
Rhythm Emotion:
Also sung by Two-Mix, is the original Japanese Opening Theme. I like its video better than Just Communication (I mean, c'mon, who hides their face by holding up one hand in front of it? I thought he was posing for a dance when I first saw it…) It, like most of GWs songs, features some English (I just feel rhythm emotion, watch out for the interesting pronunciation of emotion, and, if you're into that, the pronunciation of communication in Just Communication. I think they do it very well, considering my Japanese pronunciation (O.o;;;)
White Reflection:
Yet another Two Mix song. This is the ending theme for Endless Waltz, and one of my favorite GW songs. It contains an interesting instrumental part in the middle which sounds like someone beating trash cans (with rhythm, of course) and it well matched with a scene of Duo and Hilde working in a (I presume their) scrap yard.
Last Impression
By, you guessed it, Two Mix. I promise, this is their last song (that I'll talk about) This is probably my favorite non-character song. It has a lovely piano solo both at the beginning and the end, and is a good sort of sad song. It has an upbeat middle section, like most of their songs, certainly White Reflection. It is used well in EW, with a depressing scene and then a more optimistic one.
Heero's Songs
Take off to the Sky
This is actually the only one of Heero's songs that I'll talk about, since I'm really too lazy to type about all of them. (O.o;;;) It's upbeat, which I like, and it has a nice rhythm. It can also seem kinda sad, which is weird, 'cause it really isn't. I am frankly amazed that the voice actors in Japan all do their own songs, since that is totally unheard of over here (in North America). And, what I find even more amazing, is that they're all good at it too. Wow. I feel so untalented...
Cry For the Dream
Okay, I lied. After deciding to name the site after this song, I figured I'd better mention it, huh? This is, obviously, one of Heero's songs, and, unlike what the title suggests, it is upbeat and fun. Even "cry for the dream" is happy, so you have to wonder what's going on with the naming for these songs, huh? I like it, it's my favorite Heero song after Take off to the Sky.
Kitto OK! (Surely OK)
No, that isn't me being overly enthusiastic again, it actually does end in an exclaimation point (!), just to express Duo's... hyperness I guess. I like this one, it's the first one of Duo's songs I heard, and, like all of them, it's very happy and jumpy. It amuses me that I understand a whole line (2 words of which were Japanese... ^-^;;;) Duo's Seiyuu (voice actor), Toshihiko Seki, is widely reguarded as the best singer. I don't know, they all sound good to me, but Duo's songs reflect his character well (as do Quatre's) while everyone elses seem just a little too happy (I mean, okay, we've got the deadly suicidal Gundam pilot (Can you say overachieving? Sure you can, try it with me now), the amnesiac depressed clown (I was always afraid of clowns when I was little. I look at Trowa and think, "Hmm. So that's why ...", not that I have anything against him...), and the chauvinistic justice warrior singing rock songs?)
It's SO alright!
Once again, the title reflects the song's (and Duo's) character well. Before I even heard it I knew it would be happy and bouncy, which it is. This song is, in one respect, like Relena. You either love it or hate it. A lot of people consider it Duo's best song, but a lot of people think it's overly happy, to the point of disguistingness (which is probably not a word). Strangely enough, this principal works for Relena too, but we'll leave that for another day, when I establish a rants page... I actually love all of Duo's songs, but I don't really want to write a guide for them now. They other two are Goodluck and Goodbye and Wild Wing Boys It amuses me that Wild is pronounced "white" since they are two very different concepts, but hey, it's all good (to use a phrase from my school)
I'm Your Friend
This is one of my over all favorite GW songs, just because it's so happy and uplifting (like Quatre, who, other than Duo, seems to be the one who gets his character demonstrated by his songs) Anyway, it's very "perk you up" and has him saying "I'll be your friend" and "I'm your friend", which is nice. It also contains, perhaps un-Quatre like, an electric guitar solo at the begining, and loud drums (Ooo, the rock-ness...)
Brave Eyes
I really like this song. It's grown on me and now it's sticking to me for all its worth, not unlike a comical cartoon octopus. This is very... moving I guess. It reminds me of Brightness and Darkness a bit in that respect (but that's further down the page). It has happy points and more serious ones, where the drums really kick in (Quatre seems to get some very rock-y songs as well, something we usually don't see in Quatre (Okay, does anyone ever see that in Quatre?)) Anyways, it's very inspiring.
Wufei's Songs
Asu e no door wo tatake (Knock at Tomorrow (or Morning's) Door)
Okay! I was re-listening to Wufei's songs to remember them, and this was the first one. I love this song! It amuses me terribly. I mean, Wufei saying "flash back" and "don't stop"? It's hilarious! Listen for it, it's great. I love these guys! Yeah. Anyway, this is yet another of those happy rocky songs, which appears to be accompanied by an organ at one point (strangely enough...) If anyone would like to write a song fic for Wufei, I'd like to suggest American Women as performed by The Guess Who, on the grounds that it reflects his character well (except for the American part, which you'd just have to ignore) and would probably annoy him. What more reason do you need?
Brightness and Darkness
When I first heard this I couldn't figure out who was singing. I was pretty sure it wasn't Relena, or Dorothy, or Hilde, or Sally, or Noin, since it didn't really seem like something they'd sing, and I was hoping to heck it wasn't Quatre (O.o;;; Oi. I'm getting worse...) And, it turned out to be Lady Une's song! And it makes perfect sense! This is one of my favorites. It manages to be happy and pessimistic at the same time. Oooo. Which reflects Lady Une very well, some might add. It's a little like one of Two-Mix's songs, slow to warm up, with a big loud emotion-full bit in the middle, and then a cool down (also a bit like my P.E class, but no one wants to know about that). Go check it out, it's very good!

You can find all the character singles, those I mentioned and the others, as well as Just Com, White Reflection and Just Love at this site This is the only site I've found with these songs. I am very grateful to them!
You can find some of the character songs, plus a whole whack of BGMs and all the Two-Mix songs at this site under Multimedia, under MP3s.
People claim you can get MP3s at this site I can't find any, but they have tones of lyrics for sure, so why not check it out!
